Gibraltar names Bob Brunson Group President

BUFFALO, NEW YORK (October 9, 2003) - Gibraltar (Nasdaq: ROCK) today announced that it has named Robert Brunson Group President, effective immediately.

Brunson, who has been President of USP Structural Connectors, a division of Gibraltar, will now be responsible for its Appleton Supply and Milcor divisions, in addition to continuing his role at USP. He will also fill a critical role as operational and business development leader for Gibraltar's merger and acquisition activities. Gibraltar has completed 18 acquisitions in the last eight years.

Over the last 49 years, USP has become a dominant national manufacturer of structural connectors in the residential, commercial, and retail markets. Appleton Supply is a manufacturer of ventilation products and accessories, aluminum soffit systems, and painted coil stock. Milcor is a manufacturer of registers, vents, bath cabinets, access doors, roof hatches, and telescopic doors.

Brunson joined Gibraltar in 1998 when it acquired USP Structural Connectors, where he has worked for the past 23 years. Before coming to USP, Brunson was employed by Amicor Inc. He attended the University of Tampa and Mankato State University, majoring in business and industrial marketing. He lives in Cape Coral, Florida, along with his wife, Judy.
