Continuing Education Credits

Our program is created for all sectors of the building industry. The focus of USP’s educational courses is to clarify current design issues in regard to connector specification, give an overview of the construction industry needs and available products, explain what the current design and testing issues are, and the requirements of high wind and seismic construction.

AIA Members will receive 1 or 3.5 Learning Units (LUs) depending on presentation preference of either a 1 hour or 3-1/2 hour format that will be directly reported to AIA/CES records. USP's educational program qualifies for Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW) credit.

Earn one (1) or 3.5 Continuing Education (C.E.) credit from the Building Code Administrators & Inspectors Board, Division of Professions Construction Industry Licensing Board, or Board of Architecture and Interior Design in the State of Florida.

Receive 1 credit for 1 hour of training from South Carolina Building Codes Council.

Code enforcement officials in the State of North Carolina will earn 1 Continuing Education credit hour in the area of Building for each course attended:
• Lateral Design of Wood Frame Structures
• Basic Connector Training 101
• High Wind
• 1 HR Structural Lumber Connector Design and Specification
• Metal Connector Performance with Preservative Treated Lumber
